Solid wood wine boxes are the strongest presentation format we make. They are used for collector gifting, high-end retail displays, and limited releases where the box itself carries part of the value. The two structures on this page are a single-bottle cylinder and a four-bottle case.

Every solid wood box starts with your bottle dimensions or a sample bottle. We then set the internal cavity, insert type, and closure so the bottle is held at four points. No unsupported neck or shoulder. The outside finish is matched to your reference or Pantone.

How to Choose a Solid Wood Box

Start with the bottle count and shape. A single-bottle cylinder suits one standout bottle. A four-bottle case works for a vertical set or a horizontal presentation. The internal insert changes with bottle diameter and neck profile.

Pick the closure and finish. Solid wood takes lacquer, stain, or a natural clear coat. High gloss shows more of the grain and also shows fingerprints more. Matte finishes hide handling marks better for retail display.

Confirm the insert. We cut velvet, EVA, or paper mould to the bottle profile. The insert must hold the bottle at four points. We check with a ten-second shake, a 45-degree tilt, and an inversion before the box is approved.

Can you make a solid wood box for a bottle you have not seen?

Yes, if you send the bottle dimensions. We need height, maximum diameter, and neck diameter. A sample bottle is better because we can test the fit and the insert directly.

Which wood do you use for solid boxes?

We select solid wood based on the finish you want and the box weight you can accept. We do not use recycled greyboard in these boxes. The board standard for rigid alternatives is greyboard at 1200 g minimum.

How do you prevent the bottle from moving inside a solid wood box?

The insert is cut to the bottle profile and holds it at four points. We shake the loaded box for ten seconds, tilt it 45 degrees, and invert it. If the bottle moves, the insert is recut.
