Rigid Board Wine Boxes
Rigid board is our workhorse for wine packaging. It gives you the clean lines of a wooden box without the weight or the cost. Most buyers use these for retail shelf displays, gift sets and direct-to-consumer orders where presentation matters but solid wood is not required.
We build them on greyboard, not corrugated. That means a firm box that holds its shape, protects the bottle and takes fine printing and lamination. You can spec magnetic closures, drawers, double doors or a simple lid and base.
How to choose
Start with the bottle. A single 750 ml bottle needs a different insert than a four-bottle set. Send us the bottle dimensions or a sample and we will match the structure and insert to hold it at four points.
Decide what the box has to do. A magnetic closure feels premium for gifting. A drawer box works well for retail display. A double-door box suits two-bottle sets. Foldable options save storage and freight space.
Think about the surface. Most buyers choose a specialty paper or leather-textured paper over greyboard. Black, deep blue and burgundy are the hardest colours to hold, so we approve a first article before the full run.

Can you match the look of a wooden box in rigid board?
Yes. We use wood-grain or leather-textured papers over greyboard. The box keeps the visual warmth of wood with less weight and easier printing. It is a common choice for retail gift sets.
What insert options do you offer for rigid wine boxes?
Velvet trays, EVA foam, blister trays and moulded pulp. The rule is the same for all: the bottle is held at four points, with no unsupported neck or shoulder. We check movement before packing.
How do you control quality on rigid boxes?
Our in-house checks include a 1.2 m six-face drop test with the bottle loaded, stacking under 40 kg or more for 24 hours, and vibration simulation. We also check magnet position and corner squareness.
