Leather Wine Boxes

Leather wine boxes sit between rigid board and solid wood. Buyers choose them for a soft-touch surface, clean corners and a gift feel that does not need wood. We build the box from greyboard, then wrap it in leather-textured paper or PU with a structured insert.

How to Choose a Leather Wine Box

Start with bottle size and insert type. A velvet tray or EVA foam holds the bottle at four points. We cut the insert to your bottle profile, not a generic shape. If the box will carry utensils, tell us the pieces and we build the tray around them.

Then decide the surface. Leather-textured paper costs less than PU and prints well. PU gives a softer hand and wipes clean. Both wrap the same greyboard core. We recommend 1200 g greyboard minimum and 157 g facing paper, with no recycled board.

Finally, think about closure and handling. A magnetic lid is common for single bottles. Double bottle sets often use a hinged lid with ribbon pull. We set magnet position within 1 mm and check corners at 90 degrees when the box is erected.

Buyer questions

Can I get a leather wine box for a bottle with an unusual shape?

Yes. Send us the bottle dimensions or a sample. We cut the insert to the profile, keeping the neck and shoulder supported. Our control tolerance on the insert is plus or minus 1 mm.

Is the leather real or synthetic?

Most boxes use leather-textured paper or PU over greyboard. Real leather is possible but raises cost and limits printing. We will show you both options on a printed sample before mass production.

How do you keep the bottle from moving inside the box?

We use a four-point insert, usually velvet tray or EVA foam. Before packing, we shake the box for 10 seconds, tilt it 45 degrees, and invert it. No movement, no slide, no release.
