Quality Standard

We treat each custom wooden wine box as a protective package first. Our quality checks cover board weight, paper choice, bottle fit, tolerances, colour matching and pre-shipment handling. The goal is simple: the bottle arrives in the same condition it left the cellar.

Board and paper standard

For board-based boxes we spec greyboard at 1200 g minimum. Spirits and larger formats get 1400 g. Facing paper is 157 g minimum, either specialty or coated. We do not use recycled greyboard or high-moisture paper. Kraft paper, white card, gold and silver cardboard, flocked paper and leather-textured paper are all available depending on the finish you need.

Insert and bottle fit checks

Every insert holds the bottle at four points. We do not allow an unsupported neck or shoulder. In production we shake the loaded box for 10 seconds and expect no movement. We tilt it to 45 degrees and expect no slide. We invert it and expect no release. Velvet tray, EVA foam, blister and paper mould inserts are all built to this same rule.

Tolerances and colour control

Our control tolerance is plus or minus 1 mm for inserts and plus or minus 2 mm for box bodies. On foldable boxes creases must not crack, magnet position is plus or minus 1 mm and corners are 90 degrees when erected. Colour follows Pantone matching with first-article approval and mid-run sampling. Black, deep blue and burgundy are the hardest shades to hold.

In-house pre-shipment checks

Our in-house checks include a 1.2 m six-face drop test with the bottle loaded. Stacking is tested at a top load of 40 kg or more for 24 hours. We also run truck and sea vibration simulation. The pass mark is the same every time: no internal movement after the test sequence.
